Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Independent Contractor Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting home furniture efficiently while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Own 16ft box truck (preferred) but a Sprinter Van acceptable, to transport home furniture to various locations.
- Load and unload items safely, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Perform route driving efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns professionally.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including documentation for each route taken.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure reliability.
- Manage time effectively to keep deliveries within assigned time frames.
- Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring all items are secured properly during transit.
Skills & Requirements:
✔ Must be 21 years or older
✔ Must own or have access to a 16ft box truck (preferred)
✔ Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
✔ Strong time management skills to ensure timely deliveries
✔ Excellent customer service skills with a professional and friendly demeanor
✔ Ability to perform heavy lifting and maneuver furniture safely
✔ Must pass a background check
✔ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow delivery instructions
✔ Experience with route driving and navigation for efficient deliveries
