What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Generalist position at Ron Hoover?
Ron Hoover Companies, with locations across the state of Texas, is searching for an Accounting Generalist to join the Corporate Accounting team, in the beautiful city of Rockport, Texas!
Main responsibility will include:
- Perform general accounting responsibilities.
- Assist with bi-weekly and monthly payroll for multiple locations.
- Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes; ensuring transactions are in accordance with GAAP while internal policies and procedures are followed, and exceptions are communicated to management.
- Ensure all required documentation is complete, organized, and retained.
- Assist in cash management and banking relationships.
- Assist with 1099's, W-2's, and quarter and year-end reporting.
- Generate and monitor aging reports.
- Post payments.
- Daily transaction reconciliation.
- Other duties as apparent or assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of two years accounting experience in a multi-company environment.
- A strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication abilities.
