Catering Supervisor
The Catering Supervisor coordinates and supervises catered events, ensuring client specifications are met, staff performance is excellent, and facilities are maintained. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate event timing, menu, and service with the team.
- Supervise banquet staff, ensuring proper uniforms and high service standards.
- Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of dining areas, equipment, and fixtures.
- Hire, train, and motivate staff; ensure compliance with policies.
- Manage payroll and track employee hours and performance.
- Ensure event charges are billed accurately and adhere to budget.
- Maintain inventory of dining supplies and manage beverage and food orders.
- Lead post-event clean-up and ensure facility security.
- Provide leadership during events, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Pre-Event & Event Management:
- Ensure event spaces are set up according to specifications and all vendors are prepared.
- Lead pre-shift meetings with staff, review assignments, and ensure timely service.
Required Skills & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED; 4-year degree in Hospitality preferred.
- 2 years experience in hospitality.
- Physical stamina for long shifts, lifting, and a fast-paced environment.
Licenses:
- Alcoholic beverage and food safety certifications.
This role requires a dynamic leader, skilled in event coordination and team management, working flexible hours including nights and weekends.
