I’m the Head of Infrastructure & Site Reliability at RTA, and I’m looking for a new Software Quality Analyst to help ensure our software is rock-solid for our clients. This role drives the quality of our product by planning and executing test strategies, collaborating with the engineering and product teams, and identifying bugs before they impact our end users. Specifically for This Job, Someone Who:
- Has a knack for manual testing—crafting test scenarios, meticulously walking through test steps, and exhaustively documenting results.
- Collaborates closely with product managers, developers, and engineering leadership to understand requirements, identify risk areas, and propose enhancements.
- Understands and uses JIRA and Confluence (and/or other software test case management tools) to track issues, document test cases, and maintain clear communication with the team.
- Has familiarity with Cypress (bonus points!) or similar testing frameworks, even if much of the work is manual.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to juggle multiple testing cycles with excellent attention to detail.
- Adjusts on the fly to last-minute changes or newly discovered bugs with tact and poise.
- Communicates issues effectively with concise, solutions-oriented feedback and can emulate the clarity and directness of leadership when needed.
- Stays resourceful under pressure, keeps a level head, and is able to handle confidential product information with discretion.
- Meets deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest level of customer/client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and Execute Manual Tests: Develop test cases, run test cycles, and log defects in JIRA.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product and engineering to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Ensure Software Quality: Identify, document, and track defects all the way to resolution, confirming fixes before release.
- Maintain Documentation: Keep test plans and results updated in Confluence, ensuring everyone has access to the latest information.
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Proactively suggest process improvements, from how we write requirements to how we automate tests over time.
- Champion User Experience: Think about the end user in every test scenario, anticipating issues that could impede our clients.

Qualifications
OK, the “boring” HR part that’s necessary:
- 5 years of experience in software QA (manual testing emphasis).
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence, and/or other software test management tools.
- Test Automation using Cypress gives extra bonus points!
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Bachelors Degree not required but preferred, especially in a business or technical field.
