GUEST RELATIONS STAFF
Reports to: House Operations Manager
Education: High School Degree or equivalent
Relevant Work Experience: Some customer service experience preferred
Schedule: Part-Time; Weekday evenings, weekends. Ability to work some overnights is a plus.
Overview: Guest Relations Staff are responsible for assisting and providing excellent customer service to guests staying at the Ronald McDonald House (RMH), including checking guest families in/out, preparing guest rooms and regularly cleaning common areas of the House.
Essential Functions:
- Process referrals and check families in and out of the RMH guest rooms. Provide tours to families to familiarize them with the RMH.
- Assist guests with various requests and needs in a supportive and friendly manner.
- Advise guests of House guidelines and expectations and follow through with enforcement of these guidelines. Document RMH guest infractions, incident reports and follow-up actions.
- Complete shift task list.
- Clean and organize guest rooms and common areas throughout the House to ensure a proper and professional appearance of the facility and spaces within the RMH at all times. This requires the position to perform light, manual labor to meet this expectation.
- Clean guest rooms in preparation for arriving families.
- Clean common areas including TV rooms, bathrooms, lobby and kitchen/dining areas.
- Wash dishes
- Stock and maintain supplies.
- Complete House laundry as needed, including washing, drying and folding linens and towels.
- Enter pertinent information into The Journal (daily communication log) including notes to document events and interactions during the shift to ensure following shifts are informed of the day’s events.
- Respond to inquiries as appropriate; provide information to callers, visitors and families.
- Evening and weekend shifts should receive, record and store donations accordingly, making sure to communicate with the Program Coordinator about all donations received.
- Ensure the House is always secure.
- Report maintenance problems to the House Operations Manager.

- Attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Experience required. Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to walk, sit and stand; use hands to finger manipulation, handle, feel, reach with arms and hands, be able to talk and hear.
