Since 1982, Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region has served more than 23,000 families facing serious childhood health challenges in our community. Through programs including the Albany Ronald McDonald House, the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Albany Medical Center, and the Ronald McDonald Family Retreat at Krantz Cottage, RMHC provides essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. Our dedicated staff and volunteers help families with sick children stay close to each other and the care they need, when they need it most.
The Read for RMHC-CR Program Coordinator serves as a key member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region (RMHC-CR) team, assisting the Read for RMHC-CR Program Director in creating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating the Read for Ronald McDonald House Charities program. Primary responsibilities include launching the Read for RMHC-CR program through both live assembly presentations and creation of virtual video launch materials. The Coordinator is a key member of the Read for RMHC-CR team and assists with all elements of program implementation. This is a hybrid position for candidates residing in the Albany area.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2 years experience in a role requiring regular public speaking/large group presentations
- Valid NYS driver's license
- Able to lift 25 lbs.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook/Publisher)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with ability to manage multiple
- priorities and deadlines
- Skilled at delivering information to large groups of students in an engaging and motivating fashion
- Skilled at on-camera delivery of scripted material
- Comfortable managing multiple audio-visual technologies to deliver presentations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders including RMHC-CR staff and volunteers, school personnel, and community partners
- Ability to remain professional yet compassionate when interacting with families
- Knowledge of school system operational procedures and fundraising policies and familiarity with Classy fundraising platform preferred
