Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Introduction: The Laboratory Technician will work as part of Ronawk’s team to support laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, sample preparation, data analysis, and other laboratory tasks. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare laboratory samples and reagents according to established protocols.
- Prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination using a variety of histological techniques, including fixation, sectioning, staining, and mounting.
- Operate laboratory equipment, including microtomes, cryostats, automated staining machines, electrophoresis, immunoblotting, microscopes, PCR, and plate reader.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, including cleaning, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with laboratory safety and quality control procedures, including inventory management and waste disposal.
- Perform basic data analysis and recordkeeping.
- Participate in laboratory meetings and training sessions as required.
Job Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field required, equivalent work experience, and/or proven certification from a core skills institute.
- 1-2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a research or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and techniques, including but not limited to aseptic techniques, microscopy, cell culture, histology, ELISA, western blot, and PCR.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality in laboratory operations. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Basic computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field required, equivalent work experience, and/or
proven certification from a core skills institute.
Experience: 1-2 laboratory experience.
Location: On site.
Start Date: TBD
Salary Range: $45,000-$50,000, depending on experience.
