Role and Responsibilities
As a project manager at Ronco Construction, you’re leading the efforts to build and deliver construction projects, from planning and scheduling to execution and completion. Working with a dynamic and supportive team, you leverage your experience and skills to effectively manage resources, mitigate risks, and maintain clear communication channels to drive project success. You’re crucial to maintaining project efficiency, fostering teamwork, and achieving client satisfaction throughout the construction process. You achieve success through the following responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and manage all phases of construction projects, including project activation, planning, execution, monitoring and closeout.
- Establish project objectives, scope and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure alignment with client requirements.
- Collaborate and manage project schedules, budgets and resource allocations to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders including architects, engineers, partners and subcontractors to monitor the construction progress, resolve issues and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Manage procurement processes, including bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and subcontractor and vendor selection.
- Oversee project financials including budgeting, invoicing, and cost control, in addition to managing change orders.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess project progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with project team members and stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns and foster strong working relationships.
- Act as a mentor and share expertise to develop junior project team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
You're ready to contribute to the work and culture of a leading and growing construction company, in that:
- You have at least 10 years of construction project management experience.
- You have a strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations and requirements.
- You have at a minimum the OSHA 10-hour certification (a copy of your card is required), an OSHA 30-hour is preferred. First aid/CPR certification is a plus.
- You’re proficient with a computer and applicable software programs, including experience with the Microsoft Office suite, Procore, Bluebeam and Microsoft Project.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You’re a people person and can build relationships with a variety of people including coworkers, clients, subcontractors, field staff and others.
- You’re self-motivated and proactive, accomplishing tasks without direct supervision.
- You have a strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and ability to meet and manage deadlines.
