Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Process Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering legal documents to individuals involved in court proceedings, ensuring that all documents are served in accordance with legal requirements. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing a variety of tasks. The area we're seeking coverage for is Dutchess County, New York. We are seeking to hire one full-time or two part-time process servers. Significant volume and income potential.
Duties
- Serve legal documents such as summonses, complaints, and subpoenas to individuals in a timely manner, following instructions on written field sheets for each job.
- Maintain accurate records of all documents served and ensure proper documentation is completed.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations related to process serving.
- Manage a schedule efficiently to ensure timely service of documents.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between locations.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in completing tasks.
- Previous experience as a process server or in a related field is advantageous but not required.
