RONDOUT VALLEY CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a full-time Groundskeeper.
Qualifications: One year of full-time paid experience, or its part-time equivalent, in park or grounds maintenance activities.
Salary: Per Contract
General Responsibilities: Incumbents in this title may perform some or all of the following, as well as other related activities not described.
- Mows, rakes and cuts grass;
- Operates grounds keeping machinery and equipment;
- Performs minor maintenance to grounds keeping machinery and equipment;
- Maintains athletic fields;
- Keeps grounds free of litter;
- Plants and care for trees, shrubs and plants;
- Removes snow and ice from walks, pathways and steps;
- May secure buildings and property;
- May perform routine cleaning and maintenance duties
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, during the fall and spring sports seasons, hours may be 12pm - 8:30pm. During the winter sports season, hours are 6am - 2:30pm (summer hours are 6am - 4:30pm Monday-Thursday).
Additional Duties: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the direct report and/or Superintendent.
