We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team in providing engaging and meaningful activities for our residents. Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and implement recreational activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety during participation.
- Provide support and companionship to residents during activities, fostering a warm and inviting environment.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to identify residents' needs and preferences for activity planning.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback on activities.
- Coordinate special events and outings, ensuring all logistical details are managed efficiently.
- Engage in ongoing communication with families regarding resident involvement in activities.
- Assist with dementia care strategies to ensure all activities are suitable for cognitive levels.
Skills
- Strong background in caregiving, particularly within senior care environments such as assisted living or nursing homes.
- Knowledge of aging issues counseling and the ability to address concerns sensitively.
- Experience in schedule management to effectively plan daily activities.
