Duties
- Install roofing systems using various materials such as shingles, metal, and tiles, Single-ply rubber, Waterproofing/Coatings.
- Repair and replace damaged roofs to ensure structural integrity and prevent leaks.
- Restore existing roofs by applying protective coatings or sealants.
- Utilize power tools effectively for cutting and shaping roofing materials.
- Interpret schematics and blueprints to understand project specifications.
- Perform caulking tasks to seal joints and prevent water intrusion.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and drywall installers, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
Skills
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools relevant to roofing work.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating for accurate project planning.
- Ability to plumb structures correctly during installation processes.
