Roofer Journeyman

Job Overview
As a Journeyman Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial properties. The hands-on role requiring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install roofing systems using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, Single-Ply Rubber, Waterproofing/Coating and tiles.
• Perform repairs on existing roofs to ensure they are watertight and structurally sound.
• Inspect roofs to identify issues and provide recommendations for repairs or replacements.
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine the layout of roofing systems.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various roofing tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and ensure safe working conditions on job sites.
• Lead roofing crews, providing guidance and support to apprentices.
• Engage in heavy lifting as required during installation and repair processes.

Experience

• Proven experience in roofing or related fields.
• Familiarity with the different roofing applications currently being used.
• Ability to fabricate roofing materials as necessary for specific projects.
• Must be comfortable with heavy lifting and working at heights.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44.35 - $46.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
