Roofing Service Technician’s Job Responsibilities:
- Performing service calls, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with job specifications and safety requirements, including small repairs of low-sloped roof systems such as TPO, PVC, BUR, Cold Process, EPDM, and grease containment
- Ensuring quality craftsmanship and articulate written and in-person communication with clients
- Completing all reporting and documentation via tablet and/or smartphone
- Working with the Field Support Team and giving feedback to refine processes and optimize service
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Possess a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record
- Traveling throughout the following states will be required Monday - Friday every week (Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska) with overnight hotel stays typically 3-4 nights a week between facilities and projects within the territory using a company truck
- Utilizing basic hand and power tools and reading a tape measure is not required, but is a plus
- Communicating articulately (written and oral)
- Working effectively with technology (i.e., smartphone and/or tablet)
- Performing essential commercial roofing job activities: heavy lifting (50 lbs), twisting, bending, use of both hands and arms, kneeling, squatting, standing and/or walking for long periods, and climbing ladders and/or scaffolding
- Working in the heat and sub-zero weather
- Commercial roofing or related-trade (construction, solar, landscaping, etc.) is not required but a plus
Compensation and Benefits:
A Field Advisor’s industry competitive wage varies depending on a candidate's region and professional experience with opportunity for short-term increases based on performance benchmarks. Most candidates will start at an hourly wage of $18 to $25, depending on applicable experience and proven abilities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position where overtime is required (typically five to ten hours per week). Field Advisors start their workdays at 7:30 am local time. Occasional weekend work may be required as needed. RoofingSource is a non-union company where employees work all year round.
