What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Maintenance Technician position at Rooney Property Mgmt?
Growing property management company is looking to hire a property maintenance technician to perform a variety of duties. This individual will work directly with the property managers and tenants. The ideal candidate will have enough experience to work independently and as a team player, yet amicable enough to perform the following job duties as needed:
- Maintain quarterly maintenance schedules for multiple properties
- Diagnose/repair household items including, but not limited to:
- Furnaces/Thermostats (filters, repairs, etc)
- Smoke detectors
- Fire suppression/sprinkler systems
- Garbage disposals (resetting, clearing drain, etc)
- Faucets (replacing cartridges, etc)
- Fireplaces (lighting pilot light, etc)
- Doors (tightening door knobs, adjusting doors, replacing door sweeps, etc)
- Garage Doors (aligning sensors, programming remotes, etc)
- Drywall repairs (tape, mud, texture, paint)
- Window blinds (hanging new, replacing slats, etc)
- Toilets (fill valves, supply lines, toilet seats, etc)
- Hot water heaters (elements, etc)
- Painting
- Light Cleaning
- Assist property managers with month-end move-in/out tasks
The ideal candidate should possess these characteristics and qualifications:
- Exemplary time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of integrity with a dedication to detail and accuracy
- Punctual & professional
- Ability to meet timely deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Available to a have flexible work schedule and be on an on-call
