JOB SUMMARY:
- Under direction during an assigned tour of duty, patrols the grounds and buildings to protect persons and property. Transports staff and residents off site and between buildings, moves resident beds as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Patrols the grounds and buildings to protect the residents, visitors, staff and property of the facility
- Controls traffic and parking on the grounds of the facility when assigned
- Assures that equipment allocated to the security office is properly used and safeguarded
- Follows standard operating procedures and other regulations
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Able to push or pull beds, furniture, file cabinets, etc.
- Able to shovel snow
- Able to walk 6 flights of stairs
- Able to restrain visitors/residents or staff in minor violent situations
