Bilingual Part-Time Child Care Worker (English/Spanish)

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Available to work during the specified hours (Monday–Thursday).
• Must be reliable, patient, and experienced in caring for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Able to maintain a calm and positive demeanor under varying circumstances and interact with diverse families.

Hours:

• Available to work during the specified hours (Monday–Thursday).
• Tuesday and Thursday: 9:15am - 11:30am and 5:45pm - 7:45pm
• Monday and Wednesday: 10:00am - 12:00pm and 5:00pm - 7:00pm (occasionally)

Estimated total hours: 15-20 hours biweekly, with the possibility of additional hours if combined with cleaning duties.

Key Responsibilities:General:

• Participate in games and activities with the children.
• Provide parents with relevant information about their child’s care.
• Maintain accurate attendance records.
• Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Set appropriate boundaries and expectations with children to foster positive behavior.
• Recommend or implement measures to address behavioral concerns.

Specific:

• Childcare workers are responsible for supervising and ensuring the safety of children while parents/guardians participate in classes.
• Provide care with patience, affirmation, and attention.
• Engage children in activities, such as small artwork projects or other creative activities during class sessions.
• Provide peace of mind to parents by assuring them their children are in good hands.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Respect for and sensitivity to the needs and rights of others, including individuals from diverse cultural, racial, sexual, or ethnic backgrounds.
• Ability to handle stressful situations effectively.
• Ability to act decisively to protect the children when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.
