Yes Job Type Part-Time Working Hours Position Summary The Assistant Coach, Football will aid the Head Coach, Football in providing leadership and organization for all phases of the operation of the intercollegiate football program at Roosevelt in compliance with National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) rules and regulations. Responsibilities of the Assistant Coach include, but are not limited to, aiding in all phases of team development and operations, practice planning and assessment, supervision of practices and events, individual student-athlete instruction, mentorship and evaluation, recruitment of prospective student-athletes, and assistance with team travel.
Location : Chicago / Arlington Heights (On-Campus)
The salary range for this position is $30,000-$32,500

- Bachelor’s Degree
- Prior experience in assigned program as a coach, participant or related role
- Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence by embodying Roosevelt’s core values, mission, and vision in every aspect of the role working with students, faculty, staff, and visitors
- A positive and professional demeanor is a must
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Equipment Operated Basic office equipment (desktop computer, copier / multi-function device, fax and telephone). Working Conditions The assistant coach will work in multiple environments, indoors and outdoors, including areas for team practice, competition and recruiting, in addition to an office setting. The schedule will include nights and weekends and travel with team for competitions, as well as for prospective student recruitment and other duties as assigned. Aid the head coach in facilitating team practices and competitions for varsity, varsity reserve and developmental pool, providing real-time feedback to student-athletes to instruct and motivate to improve their skill-set. Ensure student-athlete safety and welfare during practices, training and competitions. Assist with scheduling, event management and team travel to competitions.
