Yes Job Type Full-Time Working Hours Position Summary The International Admission Counselor contributes to international recruitment and admission efforts within the Office of Admission at Roosevelt University. The Counselor performs international applicant file review and evaluates academic credentials and transcripts of prospective international students to assess admissibility. Counselor will serve as a DSO (Designated School Official) and processes initial I-20s for admitted students.
This is a full-time exempt position reporting to the Director of Graduate Enrollment Management.
This is a hybrid position based at our Chicago campus.
The salary range for this position is $47,000-$50,000 annually.

- A bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in higher education and / or international recruitment, student affairs.
- Demonstrated experience working in CMS platforms, preferably Slate
- Proficiency with MS Office suite of tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence by embodying Roosevelt’s core values, mission, and vision in every aspect of the role working with students, faculty, staff, and visitors
- Well-developed skills in verbal / written communication.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); SIS / CRM systems.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
- The ability to project a positive image of the institution in an organized, accurate manner.
- Strong organizational, communication and time management skills.
- Grasp of admission, financial aid procedures and academic offerings.
- Must be responsive and adaptable to a fast-paced environment and fluctuating responsibilities.
- Familiarity with U.S. immigration regulations relating to non-immigrant students.
- Demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills and experience working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as a key, collaborative team member.
- Ability to handle details accurately and confidentially.
- As mandated by federal regulation, U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Residence is required to serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) .

Working Conditions Normal climate-controlled office environment is provided. Job is largely sedentary, but there is a need to move about the office and buildings frequently. Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing and / or pulling is required (typically less than 10 pounds of weight or pressure). Regular use of desktop computer is required, calling for frequent hand / wrist movement and repetition. Moderate level of stress. Occasional travel within the local or regional setting may be required.
