Inventory Specialist-Cannabis Retail

Root 9 is seeking a cannabis expert who is organized, experienced, and detail oriented. Root 9 Dispensary, a family-owned and operated company, is seeking an experienced individual to join our team.

The inventory manager at Root 9 Dispensary will be responsible for managing, tracking, and documenting every cannabis product that moves through the store, ensuring compliant, safe, and high-quality standards are always met. The Inventory Manager will work closely with the general manager to establish and maintain vendor relationships, negotiate product deals, utilize data to determine top sales days and product needs, and ensure the dispensary is fully stocked at all times. The inventory manager will also be responsible for reporting all necessary inventory and product information in compliance with applicable laws and regulations for New York State. Plus, ensure the stocking area is maintained, clean and accurate.

Qualified inventory specialist applicants must have the following:

· Experience working in a Cannabis Dispensary

· POS experience, Dutchie is preferred

· Training employees

· Receiving and storing inventory

· Product knowledge

· Must have cannabis dispensary experience in dealing with inventory

· Knowledge of New York State Cannabis regulations

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the receiving, stocking, distributing, and reporting of all cannabis products, for recreational dispensary.

• Work with the general manager to establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory intake, audits and reconciliations, and inventory control

• Execute daily, monthly, and yearly inventory audits and reconciliations

• Coordinate with the general manager to determine projected inventory needs and place product orders based on data, deals, and predicted sales numbers

• Receive all cannabis product orders

• Manage seed-to-sale tracking of cannabis products

• Report all necessary inventory and product information to maintain compliance

• Document and maintain any products awaiting proper disposal, including those that are damaged, expired, and/or mislabelled

• Keep inventory storage space/vault clean and organized

• Ensure the safety policy and procedures are being followed

Qualifications & Requirements:

• College and or degree preferred

• Must have1-3 years management experience, preferably in an inventory control in a Cannabis Dispensary

• Proficient in Dutchie POS and excel

• Organized, good people skills and attention to details

• Cannabis industry experience preferred

• Minimum 21 years of age

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
