HOST – JOB DESCRIPTION
Host Responsibilities:
The Host is responsible for ensuring all guests are greeted, made to feel welcome, and seated in a friendly and courteous manner. The Host reports directly to the Restaurant General Manager.
Host duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Greet all restaurant patrons immediately upon their arrival
- Inquire as to the number of guests in the party, maintain wait lists, and communicate wait time to guests
- Assign guests to server stations in a fair and equitable manner, gather the appropriate number of menus, and seat guests accordingly
- Answer customer inquiries about the menu and restaurant
- Answer phones and book reservations as requested
- Perform opening and closing side work duties such as cleaning menus, waiting area, and restrooms
- Assist with table setup activities
Experience/Qualifications:
- Ability to multitask and remain clam and professional in a fast paced environment
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
- Ability to work flexible shifts
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and to stand for long periods of time as well as walk, bend, stoop
- Ability to cross-train and work in different departments
Hours:
The Host is a full time or part time position and hours may vary
Salary/Income:
The Host is a non-exempt, hourly position
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 per hour
