As a Budtender, you are responsible for ensuring that customers are compliant with state regulations and that the products provided meet their individual needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Educating customers about cannabis products, including effects, dosage, and methods of consumption.
- Assisting patients with product selection based on their medical needs and preferences.
- Operating the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Verifying patient eligibility, checking medical cannabis ID cards, and ensuring compliance with state laws.
- Maintaining knowledge of strains, products, and industry trends to provide expert recommendations.
- Restocking shelves and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store.
- Collaborating with the team to meet daily sales goals and deliver an exceptional shopping experience.
- Ensuring all products are properly labeled and that packaging complies with regulations.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or Retail Store leadership team.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
- In-depth knowledge of medical cannabis products and state regulations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash-handling procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of cannabis products and their effects is an asset but not required (training provided).
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Must be able to obtain a Medical Cannabis Work Permit through the Mississippi Department of Health.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, lift, and move product weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Operate standard office equipment (computers, phones, copier, etc.).
