Job Description:

The ABA Program Supervisor serves as a field-based manager responsible for overseeing client cases, ensuring high-quality behavior intervention services, and supporting the professional growth of Behavior Technicians. This role involves the development, implementation, and supervision of clinical programs, as well as training and coaching for both staff and client caregivers. The ABA Program Supervisor will apply the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children with Autism and related developmental disabilities across home, community and school settings. This position requires data collection, caregiver education, and direct collaboration with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to ensure individualized programming for each client.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop, oversee, and adjust individualized clinical programs based on client needs and progress.
  • Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and ongoing training for Behavior Technicians to ensure effective client engagement and service delivery.
  • Conduct direct therapy sessions when needed due to staffing shortages, ensuring consistency in client services.
  • Deliver clear, professional, and constructive communication to staff, clients, and families, maintaining a customer service-oriented approach.
  • Ensure all client programs, reports, and supervision documentation are completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with billable hour expectations.
  • Train and support caregivers, tailoring guidance to their learning styles, communication preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Maintain professional and timely communication with clients, families, and team members, fostering strong collaboration.
  • Lead clinical team meetings, provide training, and contribute to a supportive and engaging work environment.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, timelines, and budget requirements while striving for operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement and expansion of ABA services as directed by supervisors and leadership.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport with clients, families, and colleagues while fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Leadership & Supervision: Experience in mentoring and coaching Behavior Technicians to enhance their confidence and clinical effectiveness.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to adapt to challenges, think critically, and implement effective solutions.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Commitment to delivering high-quality support to client families and team members.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate completion of clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with program requirements.
  • Cultural Competency: Sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds and the ability to provide personalized, respectful support.
  • **Bilingual skills are valued

Basic & Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 30 to 60 pounds.
  • Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel between different job sites within the Bay Area.
  • Must have a valid California Driver’s License & insurance in good standing.
  • Must pass a criminal background check (Clean DOJ/FBI record).
  • Must have or be able to acquire First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Must have or be able to successfully complete RBT certification if they do not have BCaBA certification.
  • Must pass TB test, and have up-to-date immunization record (per company requirements).
  • Strong interest in working with individuals impacted by neurodevelopmental disorders.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree 12-semester units in applied behavior analysis 1 year of experience in implementing behavior modification intervention services OR;
  • Bachelor’s Degree 2 years of experience in implementing behavior modification intervention services RBT Certification OR;
  • Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) certification.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech, and Hearing Services, or related field Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) certification.
