Landscaper/Laborer

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit employment.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Valid driver’s license is preferred.

• Communicates accurately and effectively, both in writing and orally, to individuals, teams, staffs, and communities.

• Maintains an acceptable attendance record and is punctual.
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test (if needed.)

Essential Functions:

(The minimum performance expectations include, but are not limited to, the following essential functions.)

• Assist Landscape Foreman in execution of landscape plans.

• Operating equipment including commercial zero-turn riding mowers, brake-controlled walk behind mowers, line trimmers, blowers, skid steer, mini excavator, sod cutters, bush hogs, brick saws, transits, and various hand tools.

• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.

• Picking up trash and debris, as needed.

• Plant, lay sod, trim, prune as the job requires.

• Complete hardscape projects and outdoor lighting, as needed.

• Complete landscape and lawn installations, as needed.

• Perform any tasks related to lawn and landscape maintenance operations.

• Follow all company policies and procedures.

• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

• Employees performing this job should be able and willing to drive or travel locally, if needed.

• Schedules for this position may vary and may require flexibility to work extended hours.

• This position will require working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions including rain, snow, sun, extreme cold or heat.

• Must be able to move and/or lift up to 60 pounds consistently.

• Risk of exposure to blood-borne pathogens, bodily fluids, and communicable diseases.

• Risk of exposure to air-borne pathogens, chemical irritants, combustible materials, electrical hazards, equipment vibrations, noises and odors. Exposure to wet or slippery surfaces.

• Risk of exposure to hostile or aggressive behaviors by children and/or adults.

• Operate and/or ride in a vehicle.

• Travel to meetings and work assignments.

• Must be able to maneuver quickly around assigned work areas to ensure employee safety and deal with any emergency situations that may occur.

It is understood that the employee will also perform reasonable, related duties if requested by an immediate supervisor or other management staff.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour
