We are seeking a calm yet energetic Montessori Assistant Toddler Teacher to join our team! You will be assisting in a class of students to help assess their current academic, social and developmental level. You will have opportunities to learn to how to design the classroom according to the Montessori Method.

Desire to learn the Montessori Method and work with younger children. You are passionate about learning and helping students reach their potential. With strong creative and problem-solving skills, you love connecting with the individual child.

Responsibilities:

• Learn the Montessori Method
• Foster Independence
• Assist children with developing social and emotional skills
• Maintain the classroom environment
• Create and follow a comprehensive curriculum
• Communicate with parents and other school personnel
• work in Toddler classroom; Flexible for Infant -5 year olds

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required and desire for a career in early childhood
• AAS in Early Childhood or CDA and Agreement to certify in Montessori or Head Toddler Montessori Certification and experience in Infant/Toddler preferred.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
• Problem solving and mediation skills
