High School History Teacher

Position Overview:

As the History Instructor at Roots Charter High School, you will play a pivotal role in bringing history to life, helping students make meaningful connections between the past and present. Through your engaging teaching style, you will inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of historical events, perspectives, and their impact on the modern world.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a dynamic and comprehensive history curriculum that aligns with the school's educational philosophy.
• Encourage critical thinking and analysis through discussions, debates, and hands-on projects.
• Integrate technology, primary sources, and experiential learning to deepen students' engagement with historical content.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels seen, valued, and encouraged to participate.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to design interdisciplinary projects that help students connect history with other subjects and real-world issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in History, Education, or a related field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
