What we are looking for
We are currently seeking an experienced Capital Markets Analyst to join our Capital Markets & Risk Management team. This role will focus on the day-to-day execution of post-closing loan activities along with providing analytical support to the team.
Responsibilities:
- Process home debt loan requests and coordinate with internal teams to obtain underwriting materials requested by lenders.
- Manage the lender required repair process by communicating work items with the Capex team, monitoring completion progress of work items, and submitting evidence of completion to lenders.
- Gather property level information operating statements, rent rolls, budget proformas, and other relevant documentation.
- Analyze property level cash flows to determine key performance metrics like NOI, DSCR, Debt Yield, etc.
- Collaborate with accounting to coordinate lender financial reporting and conduct debt covenant analyses.
- Interact with acquisitions, asset management, operations, treasury, legal, and other internal teams to perform debt and risk management analysis.
- Oversee debt analysis models ranging from refinance analysis to amortization tables.
- Respond to lenders requests for information.
- Create and maintain internal and external facing debt summaries and templates for all currently managed portfolios.
- Other tasks as needed or assigned by management.
Education / Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Real Estate Finance and/or Business Finance with one to three years of experience in multifamily financing at a bank, non-bank lender, agency, commercial brokerage, or operator/owner.
- Financial analysis/underwriting experience including advanced modeling skills in Excel; multifamily debt capital markets experience a plus.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize between multiple projects with deadlines in the same timeframe with an exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively while possessing excellent self-motivational and entrepreneurial skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with specific high degree of skill in Excel
