Roots Remedy is a medical retail Cannabis company in Mississippi, with our first dispensary opening this Fall in the Fondren area of Jackson, Mississippi and plans to open four additional locations across Mississippi within the next two years. Roots Remedy and its parent company, Southern Roots Therapeutics, are committed to providing Medical Cannabis Patients with excellent customer service and the best products. Our team is filled with experienced and passionate Cannabis entrepreneurs and professionals, who are truly dedicated to becoming an influential part of the Cannabis industry in Mississippi.

As a Dispensary Manager, you will oversee the dispensary staff to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and manage the day-to-day responsibilities of running a licensed medical dispensary. Full Job Description:

  • Establish credibility to develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Help customers on the sales floor as needed with a fast and friendly attitude.
  • Qualify our customers to guide them to the right products and dosage, individually.
  • Ensure customers' concerns and/or questions are solved and answered promptly.
  • Create performance evaluations for staff.
  • Support in developing staff and encourage their growth in their positions and training.
  • Deal with issues arising from staff or customers in a sensitive and professional manner following established policies and protocols.
  • Enforce and effectively communicate company policies and procedures to all personnel.
  • Plan, monitor, and maximize retail budgets and product inventory, purchasing, and sales.
  • Perform and record sales on Point-of-Sale systems as well as process cash and credit cards.
  • Ensure the availability of merchandise and services by maintaining inventories.
  • Product management duties include, but are not limited to, receiving inventory, counting inventory, stocking inventory, and handling damaged products
  • Audit deposits and drawer counts and safeguard against theft.
  • Remain abreast of industry trends and products. Remember, you are the product expert.
  • Make sure the dispensary remains a clean, organized, and welcoming environment to our customers.
  • Willing and able to clean the entire retail store. Showroom, office room, bathroom and (Toilet), all Windows etc.
  • Organize the display and back stock products.
  • Answering our customer’s email and incoming phone calls.
  • Ensure strict controls to protect company assets at the instruction of management.
  • Help maintain all social media platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • At least 3-4 years of management experience in a retail or restaurant environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is highly desirable but not required.
  • Strong personal communication and customer service skills.
  • Passionate about Cannabis.
  • Self-motivation and desire to grow.
  • Creative merchandising abilities.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to excellence.
  • Strong leadership skills, including delegating responsibilities and tasks to the team and guiding the flow of the workday.
  • Retail, cash handling, and Point of Sale (POS) experience required.
  • Professional level writing skills.
  • Social Media Marketing Experience is highly desirable, and an interest in it is a must.
  • Must be able to pass a federal background check, be free of any felony convictions, and receive your Medical Marijuana Worker Permit in the first 30 days of employment.

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: 10AM - 6PM, Monday - Friday

Location: Reliably commute or planning to relocate to Jackson, Mississippi before starting work (Required)

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 (DOE)
