We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate material estimates. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are acurately furnished with materials on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive take offs for construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and salesmen to gather necessary information for accurate take off.
- May be asekd to occasioanly conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data for estimating purposes.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best pricing while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and pricing to ensure competitive bidding.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate material estimation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Knowledge of cost control measures and project management principles is essential.
- Experience working on construction sites is preferred but not mandatory.
