We have an immediate opening for a band instrument technician to work in a reputable established music store.
Job Description:
Band instrument repair technician: Applicants should have experience in evaluating, repairing and maintaining band instruments as well as customer service. Our technicians service school instruments and walk-in/privately owned instruments as well as maintaining Roper Music’s rental fleet.
Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate would have extensive instrument repair experience who exhibits the ability to work independently and manage time effectively with attention to detail. They will show proficiency in using various repair tools and equipment including a large Ultra Sonic Cleaner. Must have good communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
· Evaluate and repair instruments brought in
· Maintain store owned rental fleet
· Maintain workspace and equipment to ensure a clean and safe work environment
· Provide customer service – communication with customers about their repair needs as well as assisting in general sales as needed
· Diagnose instrument issues accurately and perform necessary repairs with precision
· Enter accurate and detailed information on repairs in point-of-sale system
