Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director, Manager, or Senior Applications Analyst, the Application Analyst is responsible for the implementation, support and continuous improvement of RSF’s chosen information systems. The Application Analyst demonstrates complete mastery of the skills and responsibilities of the position and has sufficient expertise to serve as a resource to colleagues. Works with users, vendors and appropriate IS staff to resolve system issues, develop work plans and schedules. Works with technical services to ensure business continuity with software and hardware installation. Assists in training efforts of system components as needed. Has proven record of successful system implementations/upgrades. Has demonstrated the ability to analyze issues, identify trends and make changes or recommendations to management to improve the process. All aspects of this position demand adherence to standard policies and practices including, but not limited to, regulatory compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree AND 1 year of systems experience, healthcare preferred OR;
Bachelor's degree AND 2 years of systems experience, healthcare preferred OR;
Associate's degree AND 3 years of systems experience, healthcare preferred OR;
High school diploma with 5 years of continuous experience and education directly related to the job duties expressed within this document.
Licensure/Certification: If professional licensure/certification required for other than IS position, i.e. RN, then licensure required to be maintained. For Lab, professional licensure/certification strongly preferred, i.e. MLT/MT, then licensure required to be maintained.

Knowledge, Skills:
Must have working knowledge of client-server environment, Windows desktop environment, networking principles, relational database concepts, and web based application concepts. Must have knowledge of system life cycle development. Must have knowledge of process surrounding system implementation, system support, system testing, project management, and end user support and communication. Must have knowledge and skill of utilizing critical thinking technique in resolving issues. Must possess the ability to translate technical requirements and procedures into well-implemented business solutions. Knowledge of systems support and implementation in a healthcare information system environment is preferred. Strong documentation and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with customers, vendors, peers and management. Ability to analyze data and make recommendations.
