Thank you for considering a career at Roper St. Francis Healthcare!Scheduled Weekly Hours : 36Work Shift : Days / Evenings (United States of America)Job Summary : Performs routine and special diagnostic procedures requiring technical skill, judgment, and independent decision-making following established standards, policies, and procedures. Performs duties under minimal supervision. Performs phlebotomy and accessioning duties as needed.Teammates must be a 0.8 FTE or higherTeammates must commit to consistently working four (4) consecutive shifts (must include at least one weekend shift in each sequence), for example : 4- 10 hour shifts; Thurs - Sun or Sat - Tues4- 8 hour shifts with a rotation of : Wed-Sat one week and Thurs-Sun on the alternate week.Minimum Qualifications : Education : B.S. or M.S. in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution. For candidates with international education; candidates must have completed, at a minimum, 3 years course work in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.Experience : Not required.Licensure / Certification : ASCP or AMT registry eligibility preferred. For candidates with international education; candidates must hold an accreditation recognized by the ASCP as equivalent to a Medical Technologist (MT)Primary Source Verification (if applicable) Knowledge / Skills : Must be capable of operating laboratory instrumentation, performing patient phlebotomy, and making sound, well-informed decisions under stressful conditions and time constraints. Must be able to use standard office equipment such as telephones, fax machines, computer terminals, etc. Requires the ability to communicate clearly.Other : Must maintain strict confidentiality of work related information.
