We are seeking a proactive and creative Marketing Assistant to support the Marketing Manager in all aspects of marketing for Roper Whitney and its affiliated brands, including Tennsmith and Roll Former. This role will assist with website updates, trade show planning, designing marketing materials, and creating social media content. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, skilled in design tools, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Occasional travel (3-4 trade shows per year) is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Website Support:
- Assist with website updates and maintenance using WordPress.
- Ensure all information on the websites is accurate and up to date.
- Trade Show Assistance:
- Help plan and coordinate trade show logistics, including ordering materials and preparing marketing collateral.
- Travel to 3-4 trade shows annually to assist with booth setup and provide on-site support.
- Design & Content Creation:
- Assist in creating marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and digital assets using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Capture photos and videos for marketing purposes, including trade shows, product demos, and customer features.
- Create engaging social media content, including reels, posts, and visual stories
- Brand Marketing Support:
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to develop consistent branding across all materials and platforms.
- Gather feedback and success stories from customers to create compelling marketing content.
- Administrative Assistance:
- Coordinate and manage orders for marketing materials.
- Support day-to-day marketing tasks and ensure deadlines are met.
Requirements:
- Education/Training: Associates degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Experience/Skills:
- Proficiency in WordPress is required.
- Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro)
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube) and content creation tools.
- Experience with Canva and other design tools is a plus.
- Ability to capture and edit photos and videos for marketing use.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally for trade shows (3-4 times per year).
