What are the responsibilities and job description for the FOH General Manager-Ropewalk Bethany position at Ropewalk Bethany?
Ropewalk Bethany Beach is part of the Ropewalk group and is in the heart of the town of Bethany Beach.
Primary Duties Include but are not limited to:
· Ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs and followed and completed on a timely basis
· Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
· Compile and balance cash receipts at the end of the day or shift.
· Supervise and participate in kitchen and dining area cleaning activities.
· Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations.
· Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards.
· Assign duties, responsibilities, and work stations to employees in accordance with work requirements.
· Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.
· Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
· Understand that working holidays, weekends and special events are a necessary part of the job in order for the success of the restaurant.
· Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
· Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
· Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
· Ensure positive guest service in all areas while responding to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
· Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
· A combination of practical experience and education will be considered.
· Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel).
· Must possess a valid drivers license.
· Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Must be ServSafe certified or willing to obtain the certification.
WORKING CONDITIONS
· Hours may vary if manager must fill in for his/her employees or if emergencies arise.
· Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level, including delivery when needed. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
· Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operates phones, computers, copiers, and other office equipment.
