Position Overview:
As an A, B, or C Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of automotive maintenance and repair tasks, from basic services to complex diagnostics and repairs. Our ideal candidates are detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of working in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities:
A Technician (Master Technician):
- Perform complex diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and advanced diagnostics.
- Conduct state and emissions inspections (preferred).
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer standards and dealership quality requirements.
- Assist with training and mentoring lower-level technicians.
- Accurately document services performed and maintain thorough repair records.
- Stay current with new technologies and repair procedures through ongoing training.
B Technician (Intermediate Technician):
- Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including brakes, suspension, heating, air conditioning, and drivetrain components.
- Conduct state and emissions inspections (preferred).
- Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake adjustments, and alignments.
- Collaborate with service advisors to provide accurate repair estimates and timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety protocols.
- Continue developing skills through training and experience.
C Technician (Entry-Level Technician):
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and minor repairs.
- Assist more experienced technicians with diagnostics and repairs.
- Adhere to dealership and manufacturer guidelines for service procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow in the automotive repair industry.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- A Technician:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive repair.
- ASE certifications preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of diagnostic tools and repair techniques.
- State and Emissions Inspection certification preferred.
- B Technician:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in automotive repair.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Basic ASE certifications preferred.
- State and Emissions Inspection certification preferred.
- C Technician:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience or formal training in automotive maintenance.
- Willingness to learn and gain certifications.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and repair procedures.
- General Requirements (for all levels):
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM, with weekends off.
- Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
