Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, engaging with patrons, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Manage cash handling procedures, including processing payments and operating the cash register.
- Engage with customers, taking orders, making recommendations, and providing an enjoyable experience.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and alcohol service regulations.
- Assist in catering events as required, providing bartending services for special occasions.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and beverages.
Skills
- Proficiency in retail math and basic math skills for accurate cash handling.
- Experience in fine dining establishments is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system for efficient order processing.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices to maintain safety standards.
- Previous experience in food service or catering is advantageous.
- Brewing knowledge is a plus for establishments that serve craft beers or specialty drinks.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
