GCBP Maintenance Manager Further Processing

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  The primary role of the Breaker Plant Maintenance Manager is to oversee all maintenance aspects of the Breaking Plant ensuring production is ran with the least amount of downtime possible by preventative maintenance and proper inventory of parts and supplies. This position requires extensive mechanical and electrical knowledge. This position may require helping out in other departments as deemed necessary by management.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assisting with staffing, interviewing, and hiring Breaker Plant Maintenance employees as well as employee relations, grievances, and performance evaluation.
• Ensure maintenance personnel compliance with all ROSE ACRE FARMS, local, state and federal policies such as but not limited to Food Defense, QC, HACCP, SQF, GMP, IDEM, OSHA, ROSE ACRE FARMS Safety, ROSE ACRE FARMS Bio-Security and other necessary programs.
• Oversee all mechanical aspects of the Breaker Plant.
• Installation, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot 480, 240, 220 and120 Electrical Circuits.
• Ensure that all Pneumatic aspects with in the Breaker Plant are properly maintained and in good working order.
• Installation, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot plumbing.
• Food Grade Stainless Process piping, grades, pasteurization, and sanitary welding.
• HVAC, Boiler & Cooling Units
• Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and coordinate PLC installation, programming, and repairs.
• CIP Systems
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Process Equipment.
• Bulk Chemical System
• Responsible for Potable Water which includes, chlorinating, filtering, softening, documentation, and IDEM compliance. (Which requires State certification and continuing education.)
• Metal fabrication
• Familiarize self, comply with and ensure maintenance personnel comply with all ROSE ACRE FARMS Safety Policies at all times.
• Familiarize self, comply with and ensure maintenance personnel comply with Food Defense, QC, HACCP, SQF, GMP, IDEM, OSHA, and ROSE ACRE FARMS Safety all other programs deemed required.
• Familiarize self, comply with and ensure maintenance personnel comply with all ROSE ACRE FARMS Bio-security Program policies at all times.
• Familiarize self, comply with and ensure maintenance personnel comply with all policies such as those listed within the ROSE ACRE FARMS Employee Handbook.
• Must treat employees, co-workers and management with respect and courtesy.
• Order, stock, and inventory all necessary supplies and parts for the Egg Processing Plants.
• Oversee and perform all necessary documentation that is maintenance related for the Egg Processing Plants.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred or a minimum of 5 years of proven maintenance experience manufacturing or food processing setting.
• Proven knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, boiler, cooling units and HVAC in manufacturing setting.
• Must be reliable, and be extremely punctual, as efficient operations require the plant to start on time daily.
• Possess excellent teamwork skills – as with many jobs this position requires a “team” attitude.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at once – the ability to deal with stressful situations.
• Must be flexible and adaptable, being open to change (positive and negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Must possess the ability to work in an agricultural environment, indoors, outdoors, office, warehouse, processing, and farm production areas each varying in temperature, and other environment specific atmospheres.
• Must be willing and able to work past the scheduled leave time to complete the job, if needed.
• Must possess the ability to work in an open office setting.
• Must maintain professionalism with coworkers.
