What are the responsibilities and job description for the RAO Agent Purchasing position at ROSE ACRE FARMS INC?
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Primary role of a Purchasing Agent at Rose Acre Farms is working with vendors and company approved purchasers to ensure good sourcing decisions and purchase orders are generated accurately and in compliance through in-person, telephone, and electronic communications while performing all duties in an exemplary and professional manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist Rose Acre Farms buyers in meeting purchasing objectives.
- Generating Purchasing Orders
- Detailed Data Entry
- Responsible for incoming calls.
- Providing guidance to farm managers on Rose Acre Farms procedures in regards to PO’s, Vendor set up, and other related issues.
- Assisting with new vendor set up procedures.
- Ensure detailed accurate data is entered in a timely manner.
- High level of professionalism when dealing with others.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
- Reporting functions for purchasing, sales, and use tax responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- High school diploma is required.
- Associates degree is desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills
- High level of competency with various software programs such as, but not limited to MS Word, Excel, OpenOffice, and Oracle.
- Ability to multitask--handle stressful situations.
- Possess good decision making skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Possess a strong sense of ethics regarding business and professional matters.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must possess the ability to work in an agricultural environment, indoors, outdoors, office, warehouse, processing, and farm production areas each varying in temperature, and other environment specific atmospheres.
- Must be willing and able to work past the scheduled leave time to complete the job, if needed.
- Must possess the ability to work in an open office setting.
- Must maintain professionalism with coworkers.
