Egg Production Laborer Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Egg Production Laborer to join our team at Rose Acre Farms. As an essential member of our farm operations, you will be responsible for monitoring conditions within the chicken houses, reporting problems to management as necessary, and performing a variety of tasks to ensure efficient production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in a set of chicken houses, assisting with production, feed, water, pits, mortality, and pest control.
• Collaborate with managers to ensure goals for the house are being met and everything is running efficiently.
• Filling in when coworkers are absent, overtime may be required.

You will be responsible for ensuring house guidelines are followed, birds are content, and eggs are running smoothly up the belt to the grading area. This includes pulling mortality and maintaining the basic cleanliness of the house, including daily sweeping, routine disinfection, and removing any mortality.

Requirements:

• High school education is desired, with previous experience in layer house operations, farming, or grain operations, or general agricultural experience.
• Ability to work with live animals and prioritize their health and well-being.
• Must be able to physically handle live and mortality chickens and remain calm and quiet to avoid upsetting the birds.
