What are the responsibilities and job description for the WC Cleanup Mill position at Rose Acre Farms?
Feedmill Cleaning: The role of the feedmill cleanup at Rose Acre Farms is a position that requires high organizational skills, competency in sanitation procedures, and the ability to prevent cleanliness issues in a proactive manner. This person will take weekly instruction from the mill manager in regards to projects that need completed in the mill area. These may include basic cleaning, organizing, washing down areas, painting, and labeling. In addition, the feedmill cleanup will become adept to the mill operations and be trained to assist in general mill operations. From time to time, and when duties in the mill are light, the feedmill cleanup will assist with other grounds duties such as cleaning and mowing, pest control, painting around chicken houses and other general areas. Finally, the cleanup will perform special projects as directed by the complex manager. All duties are to be performed in an exemplary and professional manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (non-exclusive list)
- Responsible for cleanliness and organization of the mill areas - precise list to be determined by the mill manager of the particular location.
- Responsible in assisting the mill manager with general mill operations.
- Responsible for assisting with farm grounds duties such as mowing, painting, cleaning, water treatment, and pest control
- Responsible for special grounds duties as assigned by the complex manager.
- Responsible for becoming familiar with feed mill paperwork and inventory functions, including tickets, daily bin inventory, and reporting paperwork to the main office.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma is desired.
- Previous knowledge of feedmill and general farm sanitation duties and requirements is desired.
- Experience with outside audits, specifically USDA and FDA requirements, is desired.
- Capable of physically performing misc. duties in the feedmill, such as making feed for the various locations, tracking grain that is being sent to the farms, etc.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of working in inclement weather conditions, including both heat and cold.
- Capable of working on computers and filling out necessary mill paperwork.
- Competent and professional communication skills (i.e. written and verbal.)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once – the ability to deal with stressful situations.
- Ability to treat co-workers with respect and courtesy.
- Ability to deal with customers professionally.
- Possess good decision making skills.
- Possess a strong sense of ethics regarding business and professional matters.
