Description
If you are interested in a rewarding employment opportunity at an enthusiastic aquatics facility, please apply with us! This position is responsible for ensuring the highest standard of safety for all members and program participants by prevention and response to emergencies within the facility. Compliance and enforcement of Center standards, policies, and procedures is mandatory. Provision of quality customer service must occur daily as well as performing daily maintenance duties that ensure a safe and clean environment.
General Responsibilities :
- Opening the pool area : untarping, turning lights on, checking for safety hazards, checking chlorine levels
- Participating in 30 minute rotations and relieving fellow lifeguards of rotations
- Actively scanning the pool that you are assigned to for safety issues
- Doing lane changes for classes
- Closing the pool area : tarping pools, picking up equipment, powerwashing, and taking trash out
- Light maintenance duties
- Responds to emergencies with the EAP
We offer flexible work hours from 4 : 30 a.m. to approximately 10 : 00 p.m. year round.
We are currently hiring for year round positions to start in the fall season.
Lifeguard certification classes are available at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center.
Reports to : Lifeguard Supervisors
Pay Range : $18.00 to $24.00 per hour DOE
