The veterinary technician is the doctor’s primary medical support person. They begin the examination procedure and continue to assist the doctor throughout the examination, diagnosis, and treatment phases. They aid the doctors in achieving greater efficiency by relieving them of technical work and administrative detail. They have a very significant role in communicating with clients about their pets.
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Genuinely enjoys working with animals and is able to deal with them even when they are stressed or ill or in pain.
- Can stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis.
- Is able to work effectively with doctors.
- Is experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with all hospital staff members.
- Has excellent client communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care to animals, including handling, restraint, and catheterization.
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, utilizing veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal physiology.
- Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with pet owners regarding care instructions.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including kennel and laboratory areas.
- Monitor animal behavior and health, providing support in critical care situations as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
