Rose Financial Solutions (ROSE®) is seeking a Director, Financial Operations with to lead the client-facing delivery and optimization of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Payroll transaction services. This leader will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient execution across client engagements, driving high-quality service delivery, and supporting firm-wide initiatives aimed at scalability, automation, and excellence.
The FinOps department is a critical support function focused on enabling accurate transaction-level inputs. This role will be instrumental in championing the adoption of AI tools and process automation, optimizing workflows, documenting SOPs, and developing high-performing talent. The Director will also be accountable for defining and measuring KPIs that drive visibility, accountability, and continuous improvement across all services. Your responsibilities vary, but are likely to include:
Provide strategic and operational leadership across client engagements in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll, Build trusted relationships with internal and client stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely accounting operations, Serve as the escalation point for operational matters and ensure consistent delivery of client service excellence, Define, track, and analyze KPIs and service metrics to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all functions, Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing FinOps team with a focus on technical acumen, client partnership, and accountability. Oversee financial operations onboarding for new client engagements, including AP, AR, and Payroll processes. Ensure effective change management and knowledge transfer to support long-term client success. Oversee client AP services including payables processing, approval workflow management, vendor payments, and compliance monitoring. Manage vendor onboarding, W-9 management, and 1099 compliance. Ensure completeness and accuracy through multi-system reconciliation of AP transactions (including managing credit card and employee expenses) and related accounts. Manage client billing operations, including billing schedule setup, invoice preparation, and coordination with contract terms. Oversee cash receipt processing and bank deposit reconciliation, ensuring accurate GL coding and documentation. Provide oversight of client payroll processing in coordination with external providers and internal teams. Support payroll-related issue resolution and client inquiries as needed. Collaborate to ensure accurate payroll data for accrual support and close processes. Ensure SOPs and documentation are consistently maintained and aligned with client and regulatory expectations. Drive success in achieving firm-wide initiatives aimed at standardizing, scaling, and automating FinOps processes. Collaborate with ROSE’s Transformation and Product team to implement and improve technology solutions (e.g., OCR, IDP, ERP integrations). Contribute to the design and rollout of scalable, tech-enabled service models across AP, AR, and Payroll.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- 7 years of progressive experience in financial operations with direct leadership in client-facing AP, AR, and Payroll services.
- Proven experience managing teams responsible for transactional accounting operations within an outsourced or consulting environment.
- Deep understanding of ERP systems, billing platforms, payroll software, and expense management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead AI-driven process improvements, manage change, and scale service delivery.
- Skilled in defining and using KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance and drive results.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
