What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Sitter/Hospitality Aide position at Rose Haven Retreat?
Hospitality Aide/Sitter works under the supervision of the assigned LVN/RN. Their job is to provide activities and related services as needed to care for residents’ personal needs, safety, and comfort.
Hospitality Aide/Sitter responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to the following:
- making unoccupied beds.
- answering call lights promptly.
- serving food trays and snacks.
- keeping resident water pitchers full and within reach at all times.
- picking up dirty water pitchers and putting out clean and full ones as scheduled.
- making sure residents’ call lights are kept within reach of the resident.
- assist in keeping residents’ rooms clean and sanitary.
- following work assignments and schedules by being at the assigned work area for the entire shift.
- attending and participating in in-services, training, and other meetings as required of the position.
- treating all residents, visitors, and staff with courtesy and respect.
- Adhering to professional standards, facility policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and standards.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by management and/or charge nurses.
We are looking for full-time or PRN resident sitters/hospitality aides to work with our direct care staff.
