Daycare Director

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Daycare professional to join our team. This role is essential in providing a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childhood development and the ability to foster positive relationships with both children and their families. This position involves working closely with infants, toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring their well-being while encouraging their growth and learning.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with children in a safe and caring environment.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development.
• Manage behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement techniques.
• Provide care for children as needed.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom setting.
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive team atmosphere.
• Observe children’s behavior to identify any developmental needs or concerns.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students in a daycare or educational setting.
• Knowledge of toddler care practices and childhood development principles.
• Strong skills in behavior management and classroom management techniques.
• Ability to educate children through play-based learning activities.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
• A nurturing attitude and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Knowledge of NYS daycare regulations
• Experience in management.

Pay: From $47,800.00 per year
