Sports Information Assistant Director
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has an opening in the Athletic Department for a Sports Information Assistant Director. We have been ranked No. 1 among U.S. engineering colleges by the U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Guide for the last 26 consecutive years.
As our new Sports Information Assistant Director, you will serve as primary contact for select sports; serve on the department leadership team, aid the Associate Athletic Director for Communications and Public Relations with the management of sports information for all intercollegiate athletic programs; assist with social media content and video production for stadium videoboards and scorer’s table display; create game programs and write post pre and post-game stories; create social media graphics to preview upcoming games and share the score of current games. Additionally, you may serve as the primary contact regarding media relations for selected teams directed by the Associate Athletic Director for Communication and Public Relations.
You will serve as a primary statistician at select events, including football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, and tennis; oversee and schedule the student photography team for home athletic events; maintain, organize, and manage the photography library for use within the athletic department and in the Sports website backend.
Qualified candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree in communications, sports management, or a related field and two to three years of related experience is required. Fiscal management, program coordination, and computer skills, specifically spreadsheet, social media, and web design are required. Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must have strong time management and organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred applicants will have a master’s degree in communications, sports management, or a related field and five years of related experience. Proficiency with programs such as InDesign, Word, Excel, Photoshop, Premier, NCAA LiveStats, and/or StatCrew software is strongly preferred. Familiarity with SIDEARM or similar website providers is a plus.

Salary Range is $38,200 - $47,200. Salary is competitive. A higher salary may be negotiated based on experience and qualifications.
