Job Description
Required Qualifications
-A degree in Marketing, English, or Creative Writing
-5 years’ experience writing and / or copy editing at an advertising agency or in-house agency
-Strong digital portfolio including web pages, websites / microsites, and product descriptions preferably with B2B experience
-Mastery of storytelling with the intent to convert customers and support sales goals
-SEO, Consumer Product Goods, eCommerce and/or tech experience a huge plus
-Development of response driven marketing experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
-Proficiency in proofreading
-Video script writing and UX experience a plus
Responsibilities and Day-to-Day View
• Develop promotional copy for offers and new products in a fast-paced retail environment
• Create and maintain copy documents to share with design and content implementation teams
• Attention to detail and accuracy and an ability to work within process
• Collaborate with designers to develop web pages that drive a narrative, sell products and highlight offers.
• Partner with designers, producers, and strategists to ensure creative supports Client’s marketing objectives
• Ability to present work and rationalize the thinking behind it
• Able to juggle multiple projects
Overall Purpose:
• Develop, edit, and publish desktop and mobile web content solutions for digital experience efforts.
• Work with business partners, content writers, user experience designers, software engineers, vendors and other stakeholders to deliver digital assets (images, text, links, videos, etc.) to the web, including troubleshooting and analysis of content display issues.
• Analyze, write and manage content requirements in support of digital experience efforts.
• Manage the style and evolution of content messaging including translation and localization.
• Ensure adherence to content/design specifications, Unified UX Style Guide, SEO guidelines, accessibility standards and brand voice.
• Publish content through defined workflow processes via a Content Management System (CMS) or Knowledge Management System (KMS).
• Develop and manage content using HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, and/or other web technologies, including focus on responsive web design (RWD).
• Collaborate with the Content Writing, Design and CMS Teams to ensure the integrity and quality of the user experience and to collectively drive the strategic direction of content delivery solutions for digital experience.
