Job Description
CLIENT is seeking a Data / Information Architect – Advanced to assist with constructing T-MSIS data tables and reporting to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Required Education :
- Bachelor’s degree in a science or technical field
Required Experience and Skills :
Three (3) or more years of Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System (T-MSIS) Analytic file knowledgeWorking knowledge of both MMIS and Healthcare systemsComprehensive knowledge in ETL mapping design, coding and implementing the client business logicsExperience in design and implementation of Enterprise Data Lake and Data Warehousing solutionsUnderstanding of test strategies, with experience drafting test plans and leading testing engagements, to include UNIT and SITAbility to work calmly under pressure, Strong character, Team Player, Flexible and able to manage client relationshipsAnalysis and problem-solving skills to resolve operational problems and improve reporting performanceQuantitative data analysis skills for analyzing claims and encounter dataAbility to summarize technical claim and complex clinical information and explain it to less-technical team membersStrong communicator; including e-mail, phone and in-personMicrosoft Word (creating, editing, and saving documents)Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)Microsoft PowerPoint (creating, editing and presenting slide decks)Microsoft Excel (filtering, sorting and editing data in spreadsheets, formulas, and creating pivot tables)Preferred Experience and Skills :
In-depth knowledge and technical understanding of the various segments of healthcare EDI formatsData Information Architect Responsibilities :
Utilize Data Warehouse and other relational databases, using BI Query or SQL, to perform investigative studies to identify errors or weaknesses in T-MSIS-processed dataIdentify specific problems and sources of unusual variations in processed resultsAssist in determining when reprocessing is necessarySupport the preparation of responses to questions from CMS / Mathematica, as requiredInvestigate alternative data mapping options. when necessaryMap and develop missing values in T-MSIS dataTest recent changes to the extract processMonitor updates on CMS websites related to T-MSIS and communicate relevant information to leadershipPrepare Source-To-Target (S2T) revisions, as required, from changes or additions to the extract process utilized for TMSISDevelop the T-MSIS rules-based web application (MSIS)Perform regular maintenance and update functions as requiredCreate reports to identify potential issues in advance of monthly T-MSIS file submissionDevelop test plans for individual data quality issues; to include Unit and SIT testingLeverage strong analytical skills to check data quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, discuss findings with business users and coordinate with development team to resolveCollaborate with stakeholders at every level of the organization to prepare recommendations and detailed plans for improving T-MSIS data and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulationsProvide support for the identification and resolution of the root cause for T-MSIS error trendsProvide support to operational and technical teams for auditing or inquiriesActively engage with internal business / technical teams to ensure consistency and improvement of data qualitySupport technical and data teams on the achievement of target T-MSIS data quality and completenessObjectives to Be Fulfilled by Candidate :
This position is primarily involved in the continuing development and day-to-day operations of producing submissions to the Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System, or T-MSIS.The position regularly works with other client staff and outside contractors to improve data quality in the monthly submissions, as well as document changes that occur to the process used to build the submissions.Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.Please note that all Position start dates and duration are estimates and may be reduced or lengthened based upon a client’s business needs and requirements.Benefits :
