Job Description
***Only qualified Engineer candidates located near Baltimore, MD area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (Power Courses a plus)
Required Experience:
• 3 years’ experience developing relay protection schematics/elementary diagrams (one lines, AC Potential and Current, DC Relay Schematics, Control House Layouts, Panel Front Views etc) using microprocessor-based relays (SEL, GE, ABB, Basler etc.) and/or 2 Years’ Experience developing control schematics/elementary diagrams (RTU, SCADA, Annunciator, Metering etc.) using primarily SEL RTAC RTU, SEL Controllers and DME Meters.
• 2-year experience with Distribution Fault coordination studies or Fault calculations for transmission lines, buses, transformers, capacitor banks, circuit breakers, and reactors.
• 2-year experience Developing of logic diagrams and relay settings to support relay schemes and/or control settings to support control elementary and communication architectures.
Specific Technical Experience:
• High-Level Experience with SEL AcSELerator, SEL Diagram Builder, QuickSet and/or other SEL software like 2030 etc.
• High- Level Experience with ASPEN relay Database, ASPEN One-Liner or similar software (EX. CAPE or SKM Power Tools)
• High- Level Experience with CYMDIST (or similar coordination study software)
• High- Level experience with MathCAD and/or other complex relay calculations hand calculating or software experience
Required Skills:

• Leading and managing complex engineering projects, including planning, budgeting, and coordination.
• Providing technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
• Designing, developing, and testing advanced products, systems, or structures.
• Conducting research and development to innovate and solve complex engineering problems.
• Reviewing and approving engineering documentation, such as drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Evaluating and selecting materials and equipment for projects.
• Ensuring compliance with engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
• Collaborating with other senior engineers, professionals, and stakeholders on project teams.
• Mentoring and coaching junior engineers and technical staff.
• Keeping abreast of advancements in engineering technology and practices
