Job Description
***Only qualified IT Project Manager located near the Columbia SC area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***
Required Education:
• Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years of related work experience
Required Certification:
• PMP Certification
Preferred Certification:
• Any IT certifications a plus
Required Skills:
• Minimum 5 years Project Management experience
• 1 plus years of experience within network infrastructure server and system administration operations
• Ability to plan guide manage organize and coordinate work assignments to employees
• Ability to present and prepare reports
• Ability to assign appropriate priorities to work activities based on organizational goals and situational pressures
• Ability to effectively plan and communicate work activities and deadlines
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Medicaid healthcare and all healthcare related requirements
• Prior experience in working with Microsoft products
Client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to manage high-profile executive-level projects working closely with other members of the agency executive team and external stakeholders. Current experience with Medicaid Social Services or similar public benefit programs is strongly desired and will be given the highest weight Experience should include well documented success with IT implementation projects
Job Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with executive staff team members management and external organizations including vendors to gather and manage information for project plans portfolios metrics reports and documentation
• Define project objectives and scope by reviewing proposals to determine timelines budgets procedures and phases for IT projects
• Implement project management processes for IT projects to ensure timely delivery budget compliance high quality and customer satisfaction
• Work with technical teams and business stakeholders to develop deliverables suited for audiences with varying technical expertise
• Identify and assess project risks and develop strategies for risk mitigation
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) or Point of Contact (POC) for managing and enhancing processes related to the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Develop implement and manage a process for tracking all IT initiatives and projects ensuring regular reporting and efficient resource utilization
• Prepare status reports and provide updates to stakeholders Monitor project progress identify necessary activities and ensure that deliverables milestones and tasks are completed on schedule
• Attend or lead staff meetings and integrate with the team gaining familiarity with overall operations and project initiatives
• Use Microsoft Office Atlassian Suite SharePoint Salesforce and other tools to document track and report on IT project efforts
• Lead projects from initiation through to completion adhering to the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework
